Snackbitches Community: A Movement, A Moment, and Why I’m Doubling Down on the Blog

Writer's picture: Kattie MunizKattie Muniz

Hello, fellow Snackbitches! 👋

If you’ve been following me since May (or just stumbled in because, hey, snacks!), welcome to this little corner of the internet I call home. I wanted to take a moment to share where I’ve been, what I’ve been up to, and why I’m stepping back from social media — but leaning all the way into this blog.

Why I’m taking a social media break

Social media has been a whirlwind — a beautiful, chaotic space where Snackbitches took its first breath. But it’s also a space that can feel loud, overwhelming, and, let’s be real, a little draining. My heart has always been in building authentic connections, not chasing algorithms. So, I’ve decided to refocus my energy here, on this blog, where I can write freely, share openly, and hopefully create a space where we can all connect beyond the scroll.

The Snackbitches merch story

Let me be upfront: Snackbitches merch isn’t about profit. If I could drink my coffee for free and host events for free, trust me, I’d do it. But creating cute, sassy designs that I’d actually wear (hello, comfort AND chaos vibes!) has been my way of funding things like my ever-growing coffee addiction and those magical Coffee & Connection Fridays that have become such a highlight.

When I design, there’s no big master plan — just me, creating pieces I’d want to wear while wiping sticky fingers or running errands for the 14th time in a day. It’s not about perfection. It’s about vibes. And honestly, I love seeing other moms rocking something that came from this little snack-filled brain of mine.

Coffee & Connection Fridays: A free space for moms

If you’ve ever been to one of Orlando Mom's Coffee & Connection Fridays, you know the deal: no fees, no judgments, just moms coming together to breathe, caffeinate, and support one another. It’s a safe haven where every mom, regardless of how Pinterest-perfect or wonderfully chaotic her life looks, is welcome.

I didn’t have a community like this with my first kiddo. It was lonely, hard, and sometimes downright isolating. Snackbitches is my way of making sure no mom ever feels like she has to do it alone. This isn’t just about me being the “Mama Snackbitch” (though, let’s be honest, that title rocks). It’s about creating a judgment-free zone where we can all be a little messy, a little tired, and a whole lot supported.

What’s next for Snackbitches?

I’m committing to showing up here, on the blog, every day. Expect stories, reflections, snack hacks (duh), and maybe even some “I can’t believe this happened to me” mom moments. I want this space to be a mix of humor, heart, and practical mom-to-mom love.

Snack-related content will drop weekly because, well, snacks are life. But beyond that, I’ll be sharing posts about what it really means to navigate motherhood, build connections, and find joy in the chaos.

Join the Snackbitches community

If you’re here, you’re part of this community. And I’m so glad you are. Whether you’re rocking the merch, sipping coffee with me on a Friday, or just scrolling through for some laughs and relatability — you belong.

So, here’s to what’s next: more writing, more connecting, and definitely more snacks. Thank you for being part of this wild and wonderful ride.

Let’s keep hyping each other up and being the moms we all needed back when we started this journey.

With love, snacks, and a full cup of coffee,

Kattie 🥑
